Troop 228 is proud of all its Scouts. This website was created to help inspire Scouts to become Eagles and to help Scouts navigate the formal procedures involved with applying for this rank. We are excited that you are here and planning to take the steps toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout – it is a milestone accomplishment! Please let us know how we can help you achieve your goals.
Before a Scout’s 18th birthday, completion of the following requirements must be confirmed: active participation; Scout spirit; merit badges; position of responsibility; service project; and Scoutmaster conference. Ideally, a Scout also will complete the Eagle Scout Rank Application and turn it into Council for verification that all Eagle Rank requirements have been met before his 18th birthday. The Eagle Board of Review may occur after a Scout’s 18th birthday.
The President Ford Field Service Council created this Steps to Eagle Checklist, which is a helpful tool with detailed instructions on the processing procedures. Council also has an Eagle Contact List of staff, who are available to assist in the process and answer any questions.
Is the Eagle Scout Challenge for you? We think you are up to the challenge. Not sure? Here’s what Mike Rowe had to say on the topic to a potential Eagle Scout and a not very enthusiastic Scout.
